Trick or treat? Someone told a stranger “Let it be!” Can’t you repeat? Please Someone blamed the Painter “Damn you, freak!” I pray for grace, we’ve got to survive pullin’ icy gold triggers You gotta let me know if havin’ a cry will save me, from the weirdo Some beliefs throw your hopes to shame you can’t redeem no-oo take my petty place and infuse it with bites of irony I pray for grace we’ve got to forget pettin’ tails of the tigers You gotta let me know if choosin’ a side will save me, from bein' a widower So you fake it ‘till you make it Someday messin’ around, it is somewhere to be found! You gotta let me...know Know!

When I stop for a red light, every time I’m on the waiting list When the net gives me insight or I’m being led on the motorway There, I can see the control in the systems that guide us Then I perceive my freedom, dissolving in a click Becoming data-cows meek, numb when they don’t pray It’s meaningless, what can they say? Dehumanizing themselves Economize for your welfare become clear who, what to obey and we don’t mind until we realise, all the pages are spinning to decay Aren’t we missing somenthin’? What will spread out the reasons that will bring us from touching to the need to boost ourselves Becoming data-cows meek, numb if they don’t game-play It’s meaningless, what might they feel? Becoming dumb-hybrids going under bio-me-tricks believin’ in di-vanity De hu ma-nized Becoming data-cows meek, numb as they don’t shame It’s meaningless, what can they give? Becoming dumb-hybrids going under bio-tech evolvin’ on insanity

I will say: “I’m only thoughts away, I’m likely on that star!” and when you see the paper, I will be the one who makes you proud I will send out to endless space, my love On darkest days Earth’s a haze of gray, your voice a static drought and I try to hinder this widening crater by screaming: “I’m alive!” It doesn’t work the same for you, my love Help! My elation is a rambling lie ‘cause I’m losin’ ground It just seems so hard to quantify, my muted despair Help! I’m stuck on this forsaken wheel goin’ round ’n round It just feels so bad to reveal - I want you there, I want you there I’m on that line from Why-land to astray and fuck, I’m terrorized ‘cause I’m going under and all I see is How I let you down If I could ship this pain away, above! Help! My elation is a rambling lie ‘cause I’m losin’ ground It just seems so hard to quantify, my muted despair Help! I’m stuck on this forsaken wheel goin’ round ’n round It just feels so bad to reveal - I want you - there! I want you there I want you there I want you there I want you there

This masquerade has gone too long, I lived in a box but I don’t belong Almost drowned in lost and found but this can’t be my fate So I step out of the grip of tomorrow, and I like it! They will campaign but I am strong, walk my parade and sing along Summer rain on open ground is clearing off my slate and it drains all of the past rules I borrowed, and I mean it! Can you leave it? I swear on my love! Do you believe it?

Lucky enough to be only a witness still walking alongside executioners, with the pride won only by the guilty men while victims face a worse wrath of shame I went too far in this illusion and reached my highest point of indifferent silence I can’t complain, I cannot delay giving up my wealthy idols and make each voice matter giving up, giving up my wealthy idols Down to seduce your forgiveness as long as it benefits mass consumption curves, but the hype will give into an altered demand while victim’s names are lost in the game! I went too far in this illusion and reached my highest point of indifferent violence I can’t complain, I cannot delay giving up my comfort titles and let the gap shatter giving up, giving up my comfort titles Givin’ up, givin’ up, givin’ up... Let’s give it up together... for more!

I wish I could wake up from all this madness where I call my judge by my name You know it’s the hardest game, try not to listen to this voice of weakness ‘cause she takes for a spin my little world to sin while I’m trying to follow through, at my speed Falling is all you need to rise and bloom yourself out of winter Following your sun and driftin’ on to get off the river and be out of bounds Be out of bounds! I was a dreamer, now am I a believer? I was behind the curtain waiting for you I was a curious man, caught into the light of your energy and she reads my whole life in the time of a cry while I’m trying to follow through, at my speed Falling is all you need to rise and bloom yourself out of winter Following your sun and driftin’ on to get off the river - Out of bounds! Falling is all you need to rise and bloom yourself out of winter Following your sun and driftin’ on to get off the river and be out of bounds!

Hard Days 04:30
Hard days are shaking our conscience with our ways we deprive the mother on our face the smog of indulgence we are delusionally lying Black days are soaking our substance with our pace we join the murder on our hands the dope of abundance forget the void inside And dance while she is burning and dance while she is burning Dance, dance... Hard shakes are dizzying our prestance with no faith we lose every wonder on our noses, botox reluctance we’re stealing youth in denial End days are crushing resistance in our maze we stopped to see further on our voices, ghost ego’s guidance how dare you spoil the surprise?! Let’s dance! Dance while she is burning Dance while she is burning One chance!

So I can finally say out loud, I survived this bourbon flood Here comes the time of my dutiful love will I be able to choose wisely Today I’ll listen Tomorrow I’ll follow ‘Cause I, I’ll try to be good, this fatherhood and I swear, I can be better than me, yeah Oh better than me So I can finally settle down now I found my high noon sun Sweet little hands, her smell of roses all wonder in her eyes, even me Today I’ll listen Tomorrow I’ll follow ‘Cause I, I’ll try to be good, this fatherhood and I, I swear, I can be better than me, yeah - Yeah! And I wonder if I’ll still be grateful even through the mistakes, still useful or if her story will show, all that I failed to know and I’ll bare on my conscience her inherited woes, my flaws But I, I’ll try, as I should, to lift her womanhood than I, I’ll try to be good, this fatherhood And I, I swear, I can be better than me, yeah!

about

["Mothership Down" (look up the album cover), is an exploration of the issues that animate the adventurers of NUMA. A question mark over the collateral damage of post-capitalist society and the impact of technology on new generations of consumers, to which the northwest has greatly contributed. The fight against depression and the celebration of equality, emanating from the eastern regions, as well as the decline of mankind and his irresponsibility towards nature, which is spreading in the great south. And finally, redemption through the power of unconditional love and hope from the free lands.]

PRESS

«There are bands that deserve your respect from the first album. One of these is NUMA [7534], that released "Mothership Down” in September 2020, a highly recommendable self-produced album, to be classified in the «good things» section, somewhere between your Led Zeppelin and your Soundgarden.» [Ahasverus]

«An 8-track of dynamic atmospheres, very promising for their future.» [Jester Prog Blog]

«Mothership Down is the first album of this talented band, with eight tracks that keep the smell of the Seattle fumes, to which is added the eccentricity of the present time.» [Rock Telling]

«This Parisian quartet has just released their first 8-tracks album which will take you to a punchy 70’s hard rock with a voice that makes you think of Chris Cornell at times.» [Rock Alternative News]

«After the first headline changes, we enter the game, we try not to lose the thread, we fail to get ahead. You will be surprised to be surprised.» [Tourtoisie Music]

«The musicians tackle so many themes in this album, it makes wonder how they managed to condense the whole thing into eight tracks.» [La Grosse Radio]

«NUMA are a French band (with an Italian singer!) who offer a rock music rich in contaminations (among others never banal and always fluid and appreciable)...» [Lotus Music]

«This multicultural band feeds this eight-track opus with many influences: psychedelic rock, alternative rock, metal, folk, blues, jazz, progressive rock, world music...» [Rock Youth]

«NUMA's debut album "Mothership Down", will revive pure rock and lay the foundation for its future! NUMA is full-on energy! Riccardo Morgante's voice bewitches, sensitive souls beware, Guillaume Varache's bass slams like a stormy night, Mickaël Serra's guitar creates waves of shivers down your spine and Flavio Hayer's drums increase the heart rate to high speeds.» [Paris Move]

«The more the music video (Life Out of The Box) plays, the more we understand that such a shock was essential to do justice to their album “Mothership Down” released on September 21.» [Punktum]

NUMA [7534] Paris, France

NUMA is an alt-prog rock band, that navigates between the musical universes of Soundgarden, Porcupine Tree and Jeff Buckley.
